The Top 100 WWE Superstars (Part 2 of 10)

90. “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd

After leaving the NFL, Ernie Ladd went on to have a very successful wrestling career, winning over 25 titles. He is also a member of the AFL and WWE Halls of Fame.

89. Diamond Dallas Page

DDP entered the wrestling industry backwards. He began life as a manager in the AWA. After moving to WCW, he became the oldest rookie in wrestling. In WCW, he became a 3-time World Champion.

88. Kerry Von Erich

Kerry Von Erich was the NWA World Champion, among many other things. He was great in the ring when he was at his best, and awful when he was at his worst (read as “hopped up on goofballs”). Von Erich wrestled in the WWF as “The Texas Tornado,” where, unbeknownst to the world, he wrestled on a prosthetic leg.

87. William Regal

William Regal became famous in WCW as Steven Regal, a pompous Brit. He had some success in WCW, but left for the WWF. There, he became “A Real Man’s Man,” clad in flannel and a hard hat. About two days after his debut in WWF, he returned to WCW. Shortly after, he returned to the WWF, where he became known as William Regal. There, he has been the Intercontinental Champion and a King of the Ring, among other titles, as well as the Commissioner and the General Manager. Despite his look and demeanor, he is a legit tough guy. He is also one of the most respected men in the business.

86. Jacques Rougeau

Jacques Rougeau began as half of the Rougeau Brothers tag team, with his brother Raymond. Jacques was able to break off on his own, and he became the Intercontinental Champion, The Mountie. He later teamed with Pierre Ouelette. They were known as both “The Quebecers” and “The Amazing French-Canadians.” As Quebecers, they won the WWF Tag Team Titles.

85. Goldust

When Goldust arrived in the WWF, nobody immediately realized that it was actually Dustin Runnels, the son of Dusty Rhodes. He achieved the most success when he wrestled as Goldust, winning the Federation’s Intercontinental title on six occasions. He also saw much success in WCW (wrestling as Dustin Rhodes).

84. Tito Santana

Arriba! Tito Santana was one of the most successful Mexican wrestlers in America in the 1980s. Tito won the Intercontinental Title and the Tag Team Title in the WWF.

83. Ultimo Dragon

Ultimo Dragon is one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet. His success in the WWE was, well, nonexistent, but he was very successful in WCW and in Japan. His innovative in-ring style made him a must watch cruiserweight.

82. Arn Anderson

Arn was Ric Flair’s second on command in the Four Horsemen. Arn could have been a world champion, but never was. He held the tag titles in just about every company, always with his partner and fellow horseman Tully Blanchard.

81. Sid

Whether you call him Sid Vicious, Sid Justice, or Sycho Sid, it’s all the same man. Sid was a World Champion in both WCW and WWF. Ric Flair had some nice words to say about him. “I’m ashamed that he was a horseman. He is an embarrassment to the sport.” Sid is best known for snapping his lower leg in two during a match.
