The Top 100 WWE Superstar (Part 3 of 10)

80. Lex Lugar

Lugar was supposed to be WCW’s answer to Hulk Hogan. That didn’t really work out, but Lex had a good career anyway. He is a multiple time WCW World Champion, a feat he never achieved in WWF, though he did have a nice main event run.

79. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine

Greg Valentine was one of the best ever. He was an Intercontinental and a Tag Team Champion in the WWF, as well as an NWA US Champion. He feuded with Roddy Piper, Tito Santana, Ronnie Garvin, and many more.

78. King Kong Bundy

Bundy was one of the best big men. He never won a world title, but he feuded for it with Hulk Hogan, and wrestled in the main even of WrestleMania 2.

77. Goldberg

Goldberg was a huge phenomenon in WCW. He began his career by going undefeated for 173 straight matches, and won the World Title in that run. Later, in the WWE, he won his second world title in a feud with Triple H.

76. Scott Steiner

“Big Poppa Pump is your hookup! Holler if you hear me!” Scott Steiner began his career as the smaller of the Steiner Brothers, one of the best tag teams of all time. But a back injury forced him to change his style. He bulked up, bleached his hair, turned heel, and became known as “Big Poppa Pump,” one of the best heels in the business. He was the WCW champion for several months before losing to Booker T.

75. Big John Studd

Though Studd is a former Tag Team Champion, most remember him for his feuds with Andre the Giant. His most famous match was with Andre at the first WrestleMania. Studd later won the Royal Rumble.

74. Junk Yard Dog

JYD was always loved by the fans. He never won a major title, but he is a Hall of Famer. He was rarely seen without his collar and leash, and was often known to crawl on all fours while head-butting his opponents.

73. Cowboy Bob Orton

Bob Orton was one of the best heels in the WWF in the 19’80s. He teamed with Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper to form a strong stable of heels to feud with Hulk Hogan. He never won a world title, but his son did.

72. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff

Paul Orndorff spent time in many promotions, but his greatest achievement may be his feud with Hulk Hogan in the WWF. He and Roddy Piper teamed up against Hogan and Mr. T. in the main event of the first WrestleMania. Ordorff later teamed with Hogan, then turned on him. He nearly won the WWF Title from Hogan in a steel cage match. The two escaped the cage at exactly the same time, and were forced to re-enter the cage, where Hogan bested him. Orndorff is now a Hall of Famer.
(Note: I swear I just barely noticed that I had Orton and Orndorff, Roddy Piper's two favorite henchmen, right next to each other!)

71. Honky Tonk Man

The Honky Tonk Man called himself “The Greatest Intercontinental Champion of All Time,” and with the exception of Mr. Perfect, he was probably right. It is still hard to picture him without the WWF Intercontinental belt around his waist. He was an Elvis look-alike, and he had the charisma to match. He also held the Tag Team Titles with Greg Valentine.
